I just found this site from a recommendation from Robert Smith on FB. I was Avionics 35K20 , was in Vietnam from 1/12/68 till 1/12/69. Served with A co 4th Avn 4th Inf. Div. worked Huey's in daytime and flew Avionics/doorgunner at night when possible on " Night Hawk Missions" Basic Training Ft Benning 67 , AIT Ft Gordon 35K20, after Nam was at Ft Stewart Ga. for 15 months at Evans Army Air Field. Maintenance E co. Looking forward to meeting other 35k20's my class of 35k20 started June 67 till Nov.67. In my next life I will be a WO Huey Pilot, Spent 2 1/2 hrs hung between the peddles & chin bubble , had to cut bubble out to get me out. If everyone had stopped laughing at me hung up ,would on been about 10 min. My Avionic name was Ooga.

Well, I was there as part of the 11th Combat Aviation Battalion, Headquarters and Headquarters Company from November of 1966 to December of 1967. Reupped for another 6 months and came back after leave to the 213th Assault Support Helicopter Company right next door to headquarters. Finally left Nam in July of 1968.
