Richard, you say you tried going to Phu Loi but couldn't. What was the problem? The Vietnamese wouldn't let you access the area?

I was at Phu Loi in April 67 to June 68! I was with the 612th Trans. Det. Attach to the 205th SPHCO CH-47A Chinook, the 213th Blackcats were there First! I was a 67u30 Hel Repairman! I had gone back to Vietnam in 2013 & 2015! I try going to Phu Loi, but Couldn't. I'm in Contact with some of the Guys from Both Units! Just Want to say to Everyone Welcome Home Everyone! In 2013, I had Landed in Saigon International Airport and I have a Photo of Two Army Huey's that are All Dressed Out and Polish that the Gooks Fly, to this Day! And a few Brown Water Navy Boats! Vung Tau still has the Airfield, There's nothing of Us being there! Everything is Torn Down, a few Reventments not Many.

I hope everyone was able to make it to a nice Memorial Service today. Jacksonville, Florida does a very nice Memorial Service at the Duval County Memorial Wall. The keynote speaker was Admiral William Moran Vice Chief of Naval Operations. During the ceremony they gave a special shout out to the Vietnam Veterans which I thought was a very nice touch. Looking forward to seeing everybody in Charleston.
