My,my...we are a chatty group. Two weeks since I left the last blog and not a peep out of anybody since. Perhaps we need to suggest some thought provoking topics to stimulate some lonely brain cells into creative conversational effort. How about this: Did you know that the main source of greenhouse gas is Methane produced by herd animals like cows and Gnus and elk and buffalo and gemsbok, etc.? Not counting the methane we humans contribute every time we fart, that herd animal produced methane exceeds all emissions from ALL FORMS of transportation on the Planet. Now, considering that it turns out that the methane from animal gut is produced by the microbes in the gut, bacteria, then it follows that germ farts are the leading cause of global warming, if there is such a thing. I'm not saying there is not, I'm just not convinced there is. We've had polar cap ice melts numerous times in the past. The Indiana Limestone we sell so much of formed in Marine conditions (salt water), when Indiana was under the ocean. Huh? That's right.

Comments or random thoughts would be nice. At least we will have something new to read hear when we check this blog thingy every day. Eh?

We are now at over 70 vets registered for the reunion, and with guests, we are about 130 or so people. There are still some who registered who have not sent their dues check, and there are some who have registered and paid dues but have not reserved a room at the hotel. Some possibly staying elsewhere, and some possibly forgot to reserve their room. This is a reminder that you have until the end of the day Sept. 15th...that's this coming Sunday...to get the special room rate at the hotel. After that, it goes to whatever they can get, which is over double the group rate. Go to the "Reunion 2013" site to the left of this message, click on it and get all the info required to contact the hotel. DON'T MISS THIS ONE if at all possible. It is the the best we will ever have, the best attended, and the most meaningful experience to all of us. I hope to see you there.

Dammit Leon, I come to Cocoa Beach to see you and you're out of town. I go to Washington, DC to see you and you're deciding not to go. Maybe Debbie and I will go to Cocoa Beach again after Thanksgiving and maybe you will be there. I have just started looking into next year's Reunion but thinking St. Louis or Chicago. Will let you know more as soon as a decision is made.

We are getting close to the wire on the reunion. As of right now we have 68 vets and 47 guests. We have a great venue planned. If you want to go you need to register for the reunion, send in your dues and book your room.

We hope to see you there.

ALBERT: We already have four guys I know of registered for the reunion who were at Red Beach. There might be more as some said 263rd maint. on their registration.

Please check into coming to the reunion in DC. You will for sure see someone who knows someone yo know, or who was there at the same time but you didn't get to know. It happens every year. Someone there most likely will know something about whomever you are trying to find.

Dale, Jack has been saying this since he started this website. Guys you need to re-connect now and find your brothers from back then now because time is running out now. If you don't you are going to regret it and I can already tell you stories. We are not getting any younger and we are not getting any healthier. please come to the next reunion. Please give us any feedback you have.

I am a good comer to the web site. I was SGT Folds, 36H with the 263rd at Red Beach. I spent 18 months working in the Orderly Rm with Criss Brown, MAJ Mahoney, 1SG Ward and others. I read all the comments and there was only one from Red Beach. This site brings back lot of memory's that I had lost. Thank you McCabe for doing this. There also isn't anyone on the roster from Red Beach. If anyone has information on SP4 James Parker or anyone else from 263rd I'm on the roster and would like to hear from you.
