Jerry Mahanay...you're a well travelled and hotel savvy guy: Set things straight....I heard they have naked girls roaming around the hotels in Vegas. Are we likely to encounter such unexpected surprise perks at no extra cost at the reunion???

Gentlemen, once in a while one comes across a tidbit of information that begs to be shared. I have uncovered an understandable explanation of what some refer to as "Political correctness", a concept I have long struggled with:
"Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."

It's official, guys. AVEL REUNION 2012 will be at BOULDER STATION HOTEL AND CASINO. The address is 4111 Boulder Highway, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89121. Dates are Oct. 11 - 14.
This is a great location with plenty of in-hotel restaurants, a killer buffet 3 meals a day, and several fast food outlets, and naturally, bar and casino. We got really good room rates for the group: $39.00 Monday thru Thursday and $69.00 Friday & Saturday nights. There is a 12% tax and a service fee of $4.95 per night added, but this is by far the best deal we found as all of the other hotels wanted from $13.95 to $21.95 per night just for the service fee. These rates start on Tuesday before the reunion and go thru Tuesday after for those who want some extra time there.
Now this is important. If you call or register on line, YOU MUST identify yourself as our group attendee by giving them the code "BCIAVEL". If you do not use this registration code at the time you make your reservation, they will not give you our rate and they "cannot" (will not) change it when you check in. In order to receive our room rate, we will be required to post a credit card and one night will be charged against the card at the time of reservation. If you must cancel your reservation, as long as you do it MORE than 48 hours before the event, you will get a full refund and there is no cost or penalty to you.

All of this is advance notice for those of you who check this blog page. We will have it all up on the 2012 Reunion Page shortly, along with the rest of the information.

Jack, You are doing a fantastic job with this site. I hope that more people from Red Beach discover it. We seem to have a rather weak showing. I just found it myself the other day.
